Wendy's Premium Cod Fillet Sandwich

Wendy's New Premium Cod Fillet Sandwich

This is what their ad makes it looks like.  Let's see what it actually looks like.

OK, so it looks quite similar, but obviously the Wendy's ad makes it look so golden, smooth, and delicious. How did it taste?  According to a friend of mine who was lured to Wendy's because of their flyer mailed to his house, the sandwich was good but too much breading.  Very little actual fish.  The bun was OK.  The sauce was OK, just tartar.  The thing that weirded him out was that the meat patty was in a rectangular square rather than a circle like chicken. The price was pricey at 4 bucks.  He would've paid 3 but not 4 again.  Obviously this isn't healthy.  510 calories is similar to the Whopper and Big Mac.  I would suggest as an alternative grilling your own fish at home and placing it on a whole wheat bun, lettuce wrap or just plain but eat 2 or 3 pieces to fill up.  Restaurants continue to bring out new items that are really old and not at all helping America in her health crisis.  A good rule of thumb to remember with fish is that if it comes with chips (English for French Fries) it is probably not healthy.  If it is fried and is more breading than fish it is probably best to pass on by the shallow end of the stream and head for deeper and more fulfilling waters.
